Congratulations, 2020 grads!

We know Ontario grads have worked hard in school all year.

To help them celebrate their success and get their summer off to a great start, Ontario Parks is offering free day-use entry to 2020 high school graduates throughout the month of July, Mondays to Thursdays.

What form of identification is required?

Each time a 2020 high school graduate enters a park for day use, they will be required to show their student ID card.

Do the high school graduate passes apply to families of the graduates?

A daily vehicle permit covers all occupants of one vehicle. The 2020 high school graduate promotion will cover all those in the car with the student.

Do normal fees apply for all other activities?

Yes, normal fees will apply for all other activities, including all camping activities and equipment rentals. Some rental operations may be available at the park you wish to visit.

Please check with the park directly to see what is available before visiting.

Why not other graduates?

At this time, only 2020 high school graduates are eligible for the promotion.

University graduates and other visitors may be interested in other initiatives at Ontario Parks over the summer, such as free entry on Canada Day.

Will physical distancing be enforced?

We’re counting on people to be responsible when enjoying our parks, and continue to follow public health advice, including physical distancing by keeping at least two metres from others, wearing a face covering when physical distancing may be challenging or not possible, washing hands regularly with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available. If you are worried you may have COVID-19, get tested and stay home.

The safety of our visitors and staff is always our top priority. We are implementing measures to address overcrowding and promote physical distancing in our park spaces and buildings during busy visitation times by limiting occupancy for day-use in select provincial parks. This may include limiting the number of daily vehicle permits issued.

Ministry officers will be present in provincial parks to provide information, assist with emergencies and enforce provincial park rules and regulations. Additionally, these areas may be patrolled by local police or other enforcement agencies.
