Lake Superior Provincial Park

Agawa Campground closes October 10, 2023

Rabbit Blanket Campground closes October 29, 2023

Looking for fall colours? You’ll discover full autumnal splendour at Lake Superior!

Rabbit Blanket Lake Campground is situated on an inland lake with a small beach area, close to Hwy 17. There is a comfort station with flush toilets and a trailer dump and fill station.

Agawa Bay Campground is located right on Lake Superior, on a 3 km beach. More than half of the campsites have a view of Lake Superior. Facilities include two comfort stations with flush toilets, as well as a trailer dump and fill station.

After September 5, the gatehouse will be closed. Permits can be purchased at the park’s Visitor Centre at the Agawa Bay Campground.

The park store, information desk, exhibits, and washrooms in the Agawa Visitor Centre are open until 7:00 p.m. daily until October 9.

The park office will be open 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily from Thanksgiving until October 29.

MacLeod Provincial Park

Closes September 24, 2023

Named after an abandoned gold mine, this park is located on a peninsula in Kenogamisis Lake. The park has two comfort stations centrally located in the campground.

Rainbow Falls — Rossport Campground

Closes October 10, 2023

Located on the south side of Highway 17, this campground is situated along the shoreline of the pristine Lake Superior. Comfort stations are easily accessible.

Don’t forget to head to the day use area for a panoramic view of the sheltering Rossport Islands in Lake Superior, a group of islands that make this area such a water/nature lover’s paradise.

Rushing River Provincial Park

Closes October 10, 2023

Rushing River is a family favourite, Located approximately 2.5 hours from Winnipeg and about 5 hours from Thunder Bay. Go for a paddle or explore their lovely trails, including the famous view of the rapids, enhanced by the beautiful fall colours.

Looking for roofed accommodations? Two of the park’s trailer-equipped sites are available until October 10!

Aim for a weekday vacation to make sure you can secure a campsite, it’s busy on weekends!

Neys Provincial Park

Closes October 10, 2023

Neys features a long sandy beach on the shores of Lake Superior adjacent to the campground. The park is surrounded by rolling hills, evergreen thanks to the boreal forests that call it home.

Explore park trails along exposed coastal rocks to discover why the park’s scenic vistas were a popular subject for the Group of Seven’s artwork. Here, you’ll find the breathtaking view of Pic Island made famous by Lawren Harris in 1924.

Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park

Closes October 10, 2023

The falls are gorgeous in any season, and the park is located conveniently on the highway, just outside Thunder Bay!

Whispering Hills has electrical hookups with some pull-through campsites. Comfort stations are available. The trailer sanitary station is located by the entrance to this campground.

Looking for some excellent views of the falls? Check out the Boardwalk or Mountain Portage Trail, both barrier-free!

Stop by the park store at the gatehouse or at the visitor centre on weekends to purchase park souvenirs and a variety of locally-produced items.

Quetico Provincial Park — Dawson Trail Campground

Closes October 10, 2023

Quetico’s Dawson Trail Campground welcomes campers until Thanksgiving. Flush toilets and water taps are nearby.

Many campsites are lakefront with direct access to water. This wilderness-class park is beautiful in the fall!

Aaron Provincial Park

Closes September 17, 2023

Conveniently located off of the Trans-Canada Highway, this park is the perfect stopping point for cross-country explorers.

RVers love the large pull-through sites and 30 amp plug-ins. The park is close to amenities in Dryden, and offers campers a potable water filling station and dumping station.
