Bronte Creek Provincial Park — Maple Syrup Festival

“Sugaring off” is a tradition at Bronte Creek Provincial Park. The park’s annual Maple Syrup Festival begins the first weekend in March and runs every weekend in the month, plus the week of March Break.
The festival heritage staff dress in historical attire and immerse visitors in the history and culture of maple syrup.
Attractions include: pancake house, fresh maple candy, fresh maple taffy, guide tours of Maple Lane, gift shop, wagon rides, farm animals, historical tours, family activities, and more!

Celebrate March Break at Killbear Provincial Park!

Looking for a family‑friendly winter adventure along the shores of Georgian Bay? Killbear Provincial Park has you covered this March Break!
Enjoy the park at your own pace with self‑guided snowshoeing, winter hiking, cross‑country skiing, or by cozying up beside a warm campfire between outings.
The Discovery Centre will be open with hands‑on displays, activities, and a warm space to explore. Join park staff for a Discovery program or snake talk and learn about the amazing species that call Killbear home.
Be sure to bring your own equipment or check with local outfitters — equipment rentals are not available in the park.
Thinking about extending your visit? Turn your day trip into a March Break getaway by booking a campsite.
Killbear is beautiful in every season, and winter offers a completely different way to experience the park!

Algonquin Provincial Park — family fun all week

March Break is perfect for early spring camping. Algonquin’s Mew Lake Campground still has lots of electrical sites available on the reservation system.
The ice rink will be open all week, weather permitting (and if the ice melts, the park will set up a road hockey area). A campfire will be maintained at the rink for skaters to warm up.

MacGregor Point Provincial Park — drop-in activities

Take a trip to MacGregor Point Provincial Park and experience self-guided events, watercolour painting programs, and a Meet the Naturalist station!

Presqu’ile Provincial Park — Waterfowl Weekend

Don’t miss the 48th Annual Presqu’ile Waterfowl Weekend on March 14-15!
Presqu’ile Provincial Park offers easy access to viewing stations for up to 25 different species of waterfowl that arrive each spring to rest and feed, before moving on to nesting areas farther north and west.
Scheduled activities and spotting scopes with volunteer birders are available from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. The Nature Centre will feature children’s activities and crafts, as well as duck displays.

You’re gonna need more than a week to experience all that Northwestern Ontario offers!
Visit Quetico Provincial Park for snowshoeing, skiing, ice fishing, and wildlife viewing. Extend your stay at one of the camping pods or rustic cabins.
Rushing River Provincial Park is perfect for those craving a little more solitude. Ski, snowshoe, and enjoy a nice snowy picnic.
Strap on your skates and experience Sleeping Giant Provincial Park‘s 550 m continuous ice skating loop, weaving you through the forest of Marie Louise Lake Campground. Stick around for their beautiful snowshoeing and skiing trails.
Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park is stunning in the winter! Ski, skate, birdwatch, or just take in the stunning frozen falls!
