Blue Lake’s Campground A features campsites 3 and 4, which are located a little closer to the beach.

Campground B’s sites 401, 404, and 406 are just a bit further from the lake, offering a little more privacy from what can be a busy campground.

Blue Lake’s trailer rentals are reservable during the park’s full operating season from the May long weekend to the end of September.

Rushing River’s trailers

Rushing River offers four trailer-equipped sites with two distinct types to choose from.

The park’s two pop-up tent trailers are already set up for your arrival.

These are one room units with indoor amenities that include a mini fridge, cook stove, and heaters/fans.

These trailers each sleep four to six with queen beds at either end of the trailer and a dinette table which adapts to another bed if necessary. Rental pricing for the tent trailers are a bit lower then renting the larger RV trailers at either park.

Rushing River’s travel trailer rentals offer very similar amenities to Blue Lake’s, although indoor showers and outdoor dining tents are not available.

Outside, you are provided with a picnic table and campfire pit.

Sites 403 and 405 at Rushing River are dog friendly.

Vault toilets are located near each unit, and a comfort station with flush toilets and showers is centrally located in both the Southwest and Northeast Campgrounds.

The best time to book

Reservations can be made online or by phone at 1-888-ONT-PARK (1-888-668-7275) up to five months in advance of your arrival date.

Both park’s trailer rentals are very popular during the peak summer months.

Our hot tip for booking these units? Consider visiting in the spring (May-June) or fall (September-October) when there is often more availability!

Keep in mind that our western parks also often benefit from prairie weather influences, which can keep them warmer in these shoulder seasons.

Both parks are also generally less crowded during these months, and you may even miss the bug season! So, win, win, win.

Visiting in the spring or fall will give you time to explore each park, its trails, and recreational services like water equipment rentals.

Or just take the time to curl up with an enjoyable book and relax on one of the parks’ beautiful beaches!
