Blue Lake’s trailers

Blue Lake offers five equipped trailer rentals to choose from.

Each of Blue Lake’s rental trailers sleep six with a queen bed at one end, a twin bunk bed set at the other end, and a double pull-out couch.

Blue Lake’s Campground A features sites 3 and 4, which are located closer to the beach.

Campground B’s sites 401, 404, and 406 are just a bit further from the lake, offering a little more privacy from what can be a busy campground.

Blue Lake’s trailer rentals are reservable during the park’s full operating season from the May long weekend to the end of September.

Rushing River’s trailers

Rushing River offers two trailer-equipped sites.

Trailer rental sites 403 and 405 (Southwest Campground) feature 27 ft travel rentals. They are both dog friendly.

Vault toilets are located near each unit, and a comfort station with flush toilets and showers is centrally located in the Southwest Campground.

Both sites are reservable from the May long weekend to the Thanksgiving long weekend.

What should I bring?

In addition to your regular camping gear, be sure to pack food, cookware (pots and pans), utensils, coffeemaker, and bedding (blankets, linens, pillows, sleeping bags).

Note: there is a 2-night minimum stay and a 3-night minimum stay on long weekends in these units. Smoking is not allowed inside any of the trailer rentals. One parking space is included in each trailer rental fee.

Check in time is 4:00 p.m. and check out time is 10:00 a.m. Both parks are in the Central Time Zone.

The best time to book

Reservations can be made online or by phone at 1-888-ONT-PARK (1-888-668-7275) up to five months in advance of your arrival date.

Both park’s trailer rentals are very popular during the peak summer months.

Our hot tip for booking these units? Consider visiting in the spring (May-June) or fall (September-October) when there is more availability!

Keep in mind that our western parks also often benefit from prairie weather influences, which can keep them warmer in these shoulder seasons.

Both parks are also generally less crowded during these months, and you may even miss the bug season! So, win, win, win!

Visiting in the spring or fall will give you time to explore each park, its trails, and watercraft rentals.

Or just take the time to curl up with an enjoyable book and relax on one of the parks’ beautiful beaches!

Traveling along a popular driving tour?

Both Blue Lake and Rushing River are located along popular driving routes, including Northwestern Ontario’s Sunset Country Driving Route, the Trans Canada Driving Route, and the Heart of Canada Touring Route.
