Halloween 2019 at Ontario Parks

We’ve got tons of haunted Halloween events coming up this month! And don’t forget to check out events page for late-breaking additions.

Will you be visiting the ghosts of campers past this October?

Note: If you decorate your campsite for Halloween this year, please respect the natural environment of the park and remember to remove all your decorations and litter when festivities are over.

Sauble Falls — Camper Halloween

Campers, come prepared to decorate your site/ tent/ trailer — the spookier, the better. On Saturday night, the ghosts and goblins will go site to site trick-or-treating at decorated campsites.

Inverhuron — Camper Halloween

Decorate your site and carve your pumpkins (must supply your own pumpkin). Kids can dress up and go trick-or-treating around the campground at dusk. When you’ve had enough trick-or-treating, you can return to your site for a family campfire and spooky stories!

Sleeping Giant — Halloween Haunt

Have you heard? Sleeping Giant is hosting its very first Halloween Haunt! Join us for an exciting weekend filled with activities for the whole family to enjoy including a night hike, pumpkin carving, campground trick or treating and more!

Point Farms — Halloween/Thanksgiving Weekend

Activities include site decorating contest, pumpkin-carving contest, chili / baked goods cook-off, scavenger hunt, and trick-or-treating. Book early to avoid disappointment!

Turkey Point — Halloween Haunt Weekend

Start off the weekend by decorating your site, and sign-up for the the pumpkin carving and site decorating contests. On Saturday, create a pumpkin masterpiece and have a chance to win a prize; then dress up and trick-or-treat through the campgrounds!

Emily — Halloween Haunt

Start off the weekend by decorating your campsite and carving your pumpkins. On Saturday, head on over to the amphitheatre and welcome our guest Sciensational Sssnakes! Trick or treating will begin at dusk.

Finish your camping season in ghoulish style. Decorate your campsite — the spookier, the better. At dusk on Saturday night, you will be visited by ghosts and goblins looking for treats! So come prepared for these trick-or-treaters!

Balsam Lake –– Trick or Treat, Balsam Halloween!

Join us for trick-or-treating in the campgrounds on Saturday night! Be sure to wear your halloween costume and bring candy to share. Other events include pumpkin carving, a campsite decorating contest, and a historical “spirit walk.” Pick up the weekend schedule from the Permit Office when you arrive!

Saturday activities are for registered campers only. Decorate your site to have a chance to win a prize! Dress up and go trick-or-treating around the campground, then go on a spooky guided evening hike where you will learn about bats, owls and coyotes!

Algonquin — Halloween Haunted Weekend

Halloween Campsite.

Join park staff Friday night for Tales from the Camboose and a creepy campfire, and on Saturday to explore a collection of animal skeletons at the Visitor Centre.

Mew Lake Campground will feature “pick of the patch” pumpkin carving, spookiest campsite, and best costume contests. Everyone is invited to participate in trick-or-treating among the campsites on Saturday night, and later, for a howling good time at the nearby Old Airfield with a wolf howl. We will be roasting creepy-crawly spider wieners and ghostly marshmallows.

Pinery — Halloween Weekend

Join park naturalists for special Halloween-themed interpretive programming. Learn to differentiate between spooky myths and facts, decorate your campsite (no hay or straw and please respect the park environment), participate in campground trick-or-treating, or decorate a scarecrow using natural objects from your campsite.
